How
to UseA Visual History
of Electronic Music

01 — The Project

A Visual History of Electronic Music traces selected moments from the history of the genre through real-time, code-based visuals.

Each song in the list is a distinct era. Click or tap any row to enter its visualization — the sound and visuals play together.

Every visualization is written entirely in code — no video, no pre-rendered frames. The visuals respond to the audio in real time.

02 — Navigating a Song

Top center — tap the song title to open the info panel with context about the work.

Left / right arrows — move between songs without returning to the main page.

Top right ⓘ — shows available controls for that visualization.

Top left square — returns to the homepage.

03 — Custom Visualizer

Tap Custom in the bottom right corner of the homepage to open the custom visualizer.

You can upload a song from your device, choose from a list, or record your voice — the visuals will respond to whatever audio you provide.

04 — Printing

A thermal printer is connected to this installation. Print any frame on screen using your voice or keyboard.
